The train has stopped. There's still time to meet her.
Snow has stopped the train at a small station. In the warm dining car, Linzhi lays out two notices that cannot both be right.
She pours you tea, then tries to find out whether a shuttle can reach the station. You can help her check, ask which notice is newer, or return to your seat until there is a clear answer.
Once the immediate confusion is settled, she would like to hear where you're heading. The scene begins with a practical problem and the possibility of an unexpected companion.

Snow stops the train at a small station. Linzhi first checks conflicting shuttle notices. Three passengers carry the same request: before the old station closes, take the sea away. One wants her mother’s belongings, one refuses to lose her name again, one wants a trace of everyone who passed through. Leave, or discover with Linzhi why they want more than a painting. After the journey she must finally choose a ticket that is not for delivering somebody else.

“I do not want everyone waiting outside in the snow. I will call to check. Could you see whether any station staff are near the door? Once we know what is happening, I would like to hear where you are heading, if you want to tell me.”
