Use suggestions. Compare another reply.
You can write freely, use a suggestion as a draft, or compare one alternative to the character's latest reply. Each action has its own credit rule.
Use a suggestion without sending it immediately
- Choose an authored opening suggestion, reuse a cached suggestion, or ask for three new AI suggestions.
- Select one to fill your draft. Check the wording and edit it.
- Press Send when you are ready for the character's response.

| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Read an opening or reuse authored/cached suggestions | Free |
| Choose an available authored Story moment | Free |
| Successfully generate three new AI suggestions | 1 credit |
| Receive one complete character reply after sending | 1 credit |
| Successfully generate one alternative reply | 1 credit |
| Use the candidate or keep the original | No additional credit |
Generating a fresh set of suggestions and then receiving a complete character reply are two separate charged actions. Selecting a suggestion only fills the draft.
Compare one alternative to the latest reply
- On the latest AI-generated character reply, choose “Generate another reply”.
- Wait for one candidate and compare it with the original. A successful candidate costs one credit.
- Choose “Use this reply” to replace the latest reply, or “Keep original” to leave it in place. Neither choice costs another credit.

The successful generation costs one credit even if you keep the original. If generation fails, the original remains and no credit is used. This tool applies to the latest AI-generated character reply, not older messages or authored Story moments.
If you replace a reply that was pinned for continuity, its old excerpt no longer supplies valid memory. Remove that pin or pin the replacement; see the memory guide.
When another reply is not enough
You can clarify what happened or what you want in your next message. AI responses can still be wrong or inconsistent. For service or billing errors, contact support with the error text or order reference.
